Winter

In spite of our relatively Southern location in Norway, the winters are snowy and mild. From mid-January to about mid-March, there is plenty of snow on the ground and a mild, relatively "warm" –4 degrees (Centigrade, 28 degrees Fahrenheit) to keep it there. Though there is snow on the ground from before, there is little rain or new snowfall during this period, making it ideal for long walks or ski trips or any kind of sports. Unfortunately, we are too far south to see the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis).
